Fery Farhati Launches Coastal Literacy Festival 2022

The North Jakarta Government, launched the Coastal Literacy Festival 2022 inaugurated by Jakarta PAUD Chairperson, Fery Farhati in the Bahari Room, 14th Floor of North Jakarta Mayor Office, on Wednesday (1/19).

According to her, the early age is a golden period for child's potentials development and growth.

"Early childhood characteristics are very unique, because every child has various potentials. Therefore, parents should know their children's potentials to optimize their growth and development," she conveyed.

She hoped that activities in the North Jakarta Bunda Paud program could help develop the potential of North Jakarta children in their early childhood.

"I hope it can be a forum for us to learn and raise children with good quality," she mentioned.

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim who also attended the event added that his side showed full support for collaboration program between the North Jakarta Government and the North Jakarta Bunda PAUD and other parties in improving literacy skills to produce information and technology-literate society.

"The coastal literacy is expected to be an early introduction of positive information to our children. We realize that an early age is a golden age to shape children's intelligence," he said.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Bunda Paud Program Head, Nursanti explained, literacy is a basic ability that everyone must have. Children could start improving their literacy skills by reading for 10 minutes every day, optimizing the library, writing and forming a reading community.

"Improving literacy skills should be done from an early age thus children could get used to thinking critically in solving problems they faced," she stated.
